Ava's first Christmas

Ava had a great first Christmas!  The weather was mild, very sunny in the mid 40's and windy.  Ava woke us up at 8am and we got her ready for grampy (my dad) to come over and help her unwrap her presents that Santa left.  My dad came over at 9:30am and was really excited to see her.  He brought her a HUGE teddy bear for Christmas and a few more presents from other family members.  I took plenty of video while dad and Keren helped Ava open all her toys.  It was a lot of fun and time flew by.  By 12:00 we had to leave for Keren's parents house and we were running late as usual.

It was a great time at Keren's parents house too, they had made a big breakfast which was perfect because we were starving.  We opened presents in the sunroom and hung out for a while.  Ava was really good and didn't fuss much at all.  Around 4pm we went to my sister's house and ate dinner and took it easy.  Her boyfriend AJ is awesome at cooking and had prepared tons of food.  We opened more presents, played Scrabble and watched Elf for the 643rd time this Christmas.  It was a great Christmas and having a new baby to share the holidays with made it extra special.  I can't wait till she's old enough to understand what's going on and participate.  It's such a fun time for kids.  Meme (my mom) got Ava several presents and so did my sister.  She also received many presents from Keren's family as well.  Thank you everyone for all the nice gifts, we really appreciate it.

How about some pictures?  These are from the morning with my dad and later at my sister's house.  Keren's dad took a bunch of pictures, I'll get those from him and add them later.

I have a red/green stocking just like it with (yep) my name on it also.  Still use it every Christmas.

Meme doesn't like her picture taken but hopefully this one is ok.

This is the look Ava gave me after I told her she will have to practice an hour of piano every day till she's 18.

Happy baby
