It was a lot of fun hanging out with Brandon and his son Griffin for lunch. Griffin is only 4 but very well behaved and polite, plus a super cute kid. It was just a short 14 years ago that we were living together in big house on Lakeside Dr. driving the neighbors crazy with our basketball games, pillow tossing contests in the driveway and occasional party. I think we are officially grown up now that we all have kids. Ava was SO good today, especially during lunch. She just sat in her car seat next to Keren and smiled at everyone that walked by and talked to her. You can't expect much more from a 3 month old that sits content for 2 hours straight. (actually I did have to give her a bottle towards the end but it was time to eat) It's been great seeing my old college buddies over the holidays, wish we could get together more often. Here are the pics. (yep, I was in paparazzi mode even in the Cracker Barrel)

Lunch with Brandon Smith
Today was another exciting day for Ava, she got to meet one of my best friends from college, Brandon Smith and his 4 year old son Griffin. She woke up today in a great mood and we drove to Frankfort to pick up mommy for lunch then meet Brandon at the new Cracker Barrel near the interstate. Ava was wearing a "onezy" which covers her torso and arms but there are no legs, it simply snaps at the bottom for easy diaper changing. I put a couple pairs of pants on Ava but they were too small (I know the feeling). Pressed for time, I put some socks and a thick blanket over her in her car seat. Our cars are in the garage so they stay pretty warm and I figured she would only be out of the car for maybe 30 seconds tops walking into the restaurant. Well, in the future I'll need to locate some pants for her because Keren almost had a heart attack when she saw Ava without any pants on. The greeter lady at the Cracker Barrel thought it was very funny and a typical "new dad" blunder but for the record her legs were toasty warm when I checked them. (I think mom's just like to dress their kids up for fun) :)
