Aunt Lissie and Joe's birthday

Ava had a busy day today, she is such the social butterfly.  First Mimi visits and then she had a birthday party to make an appearance at.  Aunt Lissie and Joe have birthday's very close to each other so we all got together at Papa's house to celebrate.  Ava was absolutely perfect the entire evening, not a peep or any hint of fussiness.  There must be some kind of magic baby oxygen at Papa's house that keeps her calm.  I think we could bottle and sell this stuff!  :)  Anyways, was a fun time and the cake and ice-cream were excellent!

LOTS of Pics:

The birthday boy and girl.

This is too funny:  When Brenda called to order the cake she requested a "golf" cake because Joe is a big golfer.  Evidently the bakery has the same telephone provider as Charlie Brown because they thought she said "GOTH cake."  Which perfectly explains the skull and crossbones.

Happy pose.

Someone caption this!

Mimi Visit

Mimi stopped by today, she was needing an Ava hug as well.  Mom stayed for several hours and babysat Ava which allowed me to get a LOT of stuff done around the house.  It's so nice having another person to split up babysitting duties during the day, maybe we should hire a part time nanny?  (ha-just kidding sweetie!)  Anyways, Mimi and Ava read books together, played on the play mat together and watched Dr. Oz together.  She helped get Ava dressed and ready to leave to go to her Papa's house to celebrate Joe and Aunt Lissie's birthday later that evening.  Oh, she also brought over an old baby picture of me and also gave Ava her first Valentine's outfit.  Thanks so much mom for everything!  Love you.

Aunt Roshi visits

Aunt Roshi stopped by to hang out with Ava, she hadn't seen her in a week or so and needed an Ava hug.  Ava was a little fussy at first but she finally drank some formula and was all smiles from then on.  Aunt Roshi also brought her a really nice UK outfit, thanks a bunch!  She has given so many nice things for Ava over the past four months, Ava is lucky to have such a wonderful Aunt.  Love you.

Ava will be ready to cheer on the cats for March Madness!  Thanks Aunt Roshi!

Hangin' with daddy

These are some random pics I've taken throughout the day from January 21st to the 29th.  As you may or may not know I take care of Ava Monday through Thursday when Keren is working.  She's usually up between 6-8am and it's generally nonstop till mommy gets home.  She will take a pretty good nap in the morning, usually 1-2 hours then we're lucky if she naps for more than 30 minutes.  Overall she's really good during the day and loves to play on her jungle playmat and piano mat.  I try and make her do tummy time for at least 10 minutes after she wakes up and eats to strengthen her neck and back muscles.  She also loves to lay in her crib and watch the mobile Mimi gave her.  It has colored globes that light up and plays music.  That will usually keep keep her content for a good 15 minutes.  It's good to have all these baby gadgets!

Perfectly content on the big bed with my crunchy dog.

She can sleep like this for hours.

Murph begging to jump on the bed.

Tummy time!

Testing out the carrier Mimi got us.  Works great!

Just a' swingin' while doggies snuggle up.

Love my Mini Mouse (thanks Aunt Roshi!) and mobile lights!

Daddy loves to stick toys on my head in the tub.

Mommy actually took this right after they got home.  Ava loves to smile for mommy!

Another cute pic with mommy.

Contemplating how long daddy will take before he rolls me over.

Ava loves that nursery book.  It lights up and sings to her.

Toy chest from Aunt Lissie

While mommy was out getting her hair did, Ava spent some quality time with her Aunt Melissa.  (Aunt Lissie:  Hope I'm spelling that right)  They had a great time together from what I hear, thanks for baby sitting!  I also wanted to include a few pictures of a very nice toy chest that Melissa gave to Ava.   She repainted it and must have spent a lot of time because the attention to detail is amazing.   Notice the different colors on the borders of the big AVA letters, very creative!  She even painted flowers on the tray inside!  Thanks again Melissa, Keren, Ava and I love it!

Mimi and Aunt Roshi visit

My mom and sister stopped by today to see Ava, she's getting to see her family often so that's definitely a good thing.  When I handed off Ava to mom she started crying then 20 seconds later she was talking and laughing up a storm!  I've only heard her giggle like that once before and that was last week when I sang that Beyonce song.  She really loves her Mimi and smiled and talked to her the entire time she was here.  Ava was really good for her Aunt Roshi too, thanks for coming to visit mom and sis.
