(Pics below are Ava at Central Baptist undergoing light therapy for her jaundice and me playing piano for her)
Last night and today were a little rough. Ava didn't want to go to sleep and the patented sing/rock to the water faucet production didn't work so well. She would go to sleep but after putting her down in the crib she was crying in 10 minutes. I did this from 1am till 2:20am then passed her off to Keren to breast feed. Keren was able to get her to sleep and took care of her the next couple feedings where I think she did a little better going to sleep.
Daytime was challenging too, Ava was awake for approx. 4 hours in the early afternoon and didn't want to go to sleep. I played piano for around 30 minutes while holding her, she finally fell asleep then after laying her down she's awake and crying in 10 minutes. She seems hungry all the time, even after breast feeding for an hour also she's still fussy. Around 3pm I bottle fed her 5 ounces and she drank it all. (3 ounces breast milk and 2 ounces formula) She actually seemed pretty content for a while and Keren held her while I put together her bouncy seat. Ava seemed to like the bouncy seat and actually fell asleep in it. I left for the gym for a well needed break. I had never looked forward to working out so much.
The evening was better, I came home to Keren holding Ava and she was actually content and not crying. I was exhausted from the gym and retired to the couch next to Keren. Ava was asleep and looked so precious. Keren gave her to me and I laid her on my chest and just relaxed. We watched Keren's favorite movie of all time, Twilight, and took it easy. Ava slept on me for around 2 hours, it was so nice to hold her without her crying for once.
