6 month Dr. visit then dinner and shopping with Nana!

Busy day for little peach, she had her 6 month checkup and shots today!  Weight was 18 lbs, 8 ounces and was 84% for weight (no surprise here) 41% for height (takes after daddy) and head measurement was in the 74 percentile range! I was sure this was going to be an indication she would be a gifted, genius baby but the doctor informed me (with a smile) this was not the case.  Big head doesn't equal big brain.  Ava was pretty grumpy for the first nurse and this actually may have made things easier for the couple shots she was going to receive.  By the time the second nurse came to administer the shots she was crying a little so I think that masked the pain of the shots as she really didn't get too upset.  She of course cried but got over it quickly.

We had an early dinner date with my mom so we drove straight to Red Lobster on Nicholasville Rd.  I hadn't been there in probably 15 years, we used to go there all the time growing up, usually after soccer games with the Bates'.  Ava slept for quite a while then was really good in the restaurant.  Next stop was shopping at "Once Upon a Child."  Ava did great in there and I wheeled her around while mom and Keren shopped for clothes.  Ava met a really cute Hispanic girl named Evelyn and seemed to enjoy looking all the colorful clothes.  We capped the night off with some yogurt ice-cream at TCBY next door.  All in all a fun day for our little punkin!
