Keren had Ava during the day and said she was good. Tonight has been rough though. Nonstop crying, nursing constantly and we can't get her to stay asleep. Ava was awake for 6 hours straight during the day, 4 of those we spent trying to get her to stay asleep. She will fall asleep quickly with rocking/music/background noise but when we put her down she wakes up in 10 minutes. We'll eventually find something that works. (hopefully)
My good friend Chris Frost and his family gave Ava some really nice gifts today. Several cute outfits, a duck bib/outfit, children's book and a comfort doll/blanket. Thanks Frosty!
Does she have reflux? Silent Reflux perhaps? Or maybe try the Dr. Brown's bottles...it really helps with not having gas/air trap in their belly. Try the swing.....Cam sleeps/naps like a champ in his...NOW he does prefer to be held until he falls asleep but sometimes he will on his own.
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the reflux (or silent), how can you tell? She is burping pretty good and we use the Little Tummy gas drops quite a bit. We use the Avent bottles, wonder how those compare to Dr. Browns?
ReplyDeleteThe swing is hit and miss for us. Sometimes she is really content, other times she will cry in a minute or two. I just asked Keren and she thought Ava was content in the swing about 40-50% of the time. Same with the bouncy seat.
