November 29th

Another rainy day in the bluegrass state.  Third straight day of rain I believe and very cold, almost cold enough to snow.  Ava slept for almost 8 hours last night and is doing much better these days overall.  She's smiling more frequently and her hand and arm movements seem to be getting smoother and less erratic.  We do tummy time with her a few times a day, I let her push off against me with her feet and she crawls (sort of) across her play mat.  (it's more like scoot across the play mat).

November 28th

Very rainy day today, was going to have Ava go rake some leaves but I'll give her a pass since it's chilly.  She continues to sleep much better, sometimes 5,6 or 7 hours at a stretch during the night.  Sometimes she has a little trouble with the bottle though, maybe some reflux, not sure.  Keren is usually researching the web like a mad scientist for alternative formula and baby tips.  My baby assignment is is to take pictures and post them on this blog.

Speaking of which, here are some fancy pictures we had taken when Ava was just 12 days old.

November 27th

My dad and his wife Janet came over to visit Ava today.  They bought her some very nice blankets, thank you!  Ava was very good for them and they took turns feeding her.  I could tell dad was a little rusty at bottle feeding since he had most of the nipple (up to the bottle) in her mouth.  It was funny actually.

Ava's first Thanksgiving

We went to my mom's house for thanksgiving.  She had fixed everything and we had a Heavenly baked ham instead of turkey.  (so glad)  Sis was in Florida with her boyfriend AJ visiting relatives so it was just my mom, me, Ava and Keren.  Dad had thanksgiving with his wife's family at their house and we are having another thanksgiving this coming Saturday with Keren's family.  The weather was incredible, mid 60's and sunny.  I took all 4 dogs on a long walk later in the day, that was an adventure.  Who knew 4 leashes could get so tangled up in the blink of an eye?

November 22nd

Today was my mom's birthday so we took Ava over to visit to granny.  (note there has been name change, mom didn't like the name "meemaw" I assigned to her so she's granny now.)  Keren's mom is graMMy so this shouldn't be confusing at all to little Ava.  Mom was super excited to see Ava as always.  We brought a pizza over for her and got her an 8x10 framed picture of Ava.  I also help set up her new iPhone that my sister got her.  (awesome present by the way sis)  Her new iPhone takes great pictures and even decent video.  Will be a great for her to store pictures of Ava on to show her coworkers.  Here are the obligatory pics from the day:

6 Weeks old

Our little peach is 6 weeks old!   She is growing like a weed and doing much better every day.  Here are a few pics we snapped today.

November 19th

My mom (meemaw) and sister came over today to see little Ava.  Mom said she had grown quite bit since she last saw her.  She bought Ava several sleepers that were really comfy and warm, thanks mom! She also brought the cat some treats since Pud (the cat) seems to get skipped over come treat time.  Roshan fed Ava for the first time and did a great job, she's a natural.  Here are some pics:
